| NACE GALA TO SHOWCASE THE SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN EVENTS INDUSTRY
MILWAUKEE, WI – The National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) plans to host “For Better or For Worse,” a fundraising gala on November 19, 2009 at the Milwaukee Intercontinental. Local caterers, planners, and vendors will offer a fun, introspective look at the events industry, showcasing trends in weddings and social occasions. Proceeds will benefit the Southeastern Wisconsin NACE chapter and the Hunger Task Force of Wisconsin.
The evening’s menu includes delicacies from Milwaukee’s top caterers, a silent auction, voice auction and entertainment. The event is scheduled to begin with a cocktail hour parody of classic wedding planning mishaps. Following the cocktail hour, the gala will demonstrate the Southeastern Wisconsin event industry’s finest food, décor, and entertainment. Estimated attendance is 150 to 300 guests. Auction items range from a lobster and steak dinner for 6 from Chef Jack’s Catering, to a ski trip in Colorado. Guests are encouraged to bring their appetite and sense of humor.
NACE is the oldest and largest professional association that addresses all aspects of the catering industry. With over 40 chapters nationwide, NACE offers educational programs, speakers and networking opportunities for members. The Southeastern Wisconsin chapter has over 30 members and continues to grow under the leadership of the Board of Directors and Chapter President, David Caruso, Jr., president of Dynamic Events, LLC.
